Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Chin Waxing.

Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free skin for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles, genetics, and aftercare. Regular appointments can extend intervals by weakening follicles and producing finer regrowth.

Chin waxing is not permanent like electrolysis, but repeated waxing can reduce hair thickness and density over time. It removes hairs from the root, delaying regrowth. Discuss permanent options if desired.

You may feel brief discomfort as hairs are removed, but pain is generally tolerable. We use soothing techniques and proper temperature control. Take OTC pain relief beforehand if sensitive and follow technician guidance.

Clean skin free of makeup and oils is best. Let chin hair reach about 1/4 inch for effective gripping, exfoliate gently two days prior to prevent ingrown hairs, and avoid harsh actives 48 hours before waxing.

Avoid heat, heavy sweating, sun exposure and exfoliation for 24-48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or calming serums, keep the area clean, and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Waxing removes coarse and hormonally driven hairs but won't address hormonal causes. It provides immediate smoothness and may thin regrowth with regular sessions. For hormonal concerns, consult a doctor about combined solutions.
